Valentine's 2014

At the stroke of midnight, Valentine's this year,
hubs and I were on the way home from work.
I looked over lovingly and said,
"Happy Valentine's Day, bay-beh"
With extra gatal voice laaa

He replied, "Ummm..."

F*cker.

Note to self: Must make sure that my son is not kayu like hubby

So, I trained him to make hearts
.
We cut out some hearts on manila cards and used glue make some pattern
We then sprinkled salt on the glue pattern and let them air dry overnight.
I also prepared some water colour in little dropper bottle.

Great for strengthening those little hand muscles

Love the brilliant colours!
We used Crayola finger paints, mixed with water

I asked for a handsome smile!

We presented our hearts to Dragon girl.

Tiger warned her, "See only, cannot touch"

Dragon girl frowned, as if thinking can eat or not.

Tiger, reading her mind, replied, "Cannot eat also"

SO, cannot eat + cannot touch = useless
She walked away.

Here is the rambunctious 17 month-old.
She really makes me so happy.
Best Valentine's gift ever!

Happy belated Valentine's to you guys too :)

Valentine's Sensory Bin

Happy Valentine's Day!!

This was my morning, after snoozing the alarm clock...
Mommy    : Happy Valentine's Day
Daddy      : Huh?
Mommy    : Happy Valentine's Day
Daddy      : Oh, hmm, mumble mumble
Mommy    : Love you
Daddy       : *snore*
Mommy     : =.="
It was no better with the other man in my life...
Mommy   : Hi, morning baby.
Tiger        : Eh? (looks for Grandma) Wuuhuuhuuhuuu (fake cry)
Mommy   : Are you hungry?
Tiger        : Nods
Mommy   : You want milk?
Tiger        : Shakes head
Mommy   : You want Grandma to give you milk?
Tiger        : Nods
Mommy   :  =.="
 Hmmm.....

Since Daddy's busy with work, we will be spending some quality time with this bin.
It's okay because nothing beats spending one-on-one time with Tiger =)

 Here's the bin.
There are a lot more stuff in this bin compared to the previous ones.
Mostly because I just gathered all the red stuff in the room  =)

Tot Trays: Valentine-Inspired

Valentine's Week Setup

Little Tiger is 20 months

This week's trays are inspired by Valentine's Day.
There are no specific categories to the trays this week
I was just gathering whatever I can find that exudes love and all that mushiness..ha ha

We are not a big fan of commercialised gifts & flowers, so there is no hot date for Mommy :(
I'd rather spend it with Tiger anyways...

1. Dot painting & V for Valentine printout

2. Sticker activity with printout from here
For one to one correspondence

3. Messy art activity
Heart-shaped soap dispenser to dilute the paint a little (more economical, he he!)
& also to work those little muscle

4. Some red/yellow dough with some cookie cutter

5. Sorting activity
He has to sort the pink and red hearts into the respective containers
The containers are good for opening and closing practice too.

6. Inserting tacky hearts into container

7. Music tray:
Note E
We are adding the keyboard this week

8. Love-themed books
