Tot Trays: Montessori Trays at 24 months

In order to save time so that I have more time to prepare Tiger's right brain material,
we are doing montessori work trays this week.

Music:
Picture: Vivaldi with facts
Tuning fork and bells

Pouring:
Cute little watering can and a little bucket.
The can is just the right size for Tiger and oh-so-cute!
A small hanky for wiping spills
(Psst...he loves this!)

Numbers/fractions:
A little tough for Tiger but we shall try

Mini knobbed cylinder
If he finds this too easy, we will add another block.

Stamping and alphabets
Brought over from last week since he enjoyed it so.

Tweezing sponges
The sponges came from an old sponge bomb I made earlier.
He gets to do some sorting as well

I forgot to take a pic of the globe and map/flags :p

Nesting:
Mommy have been nesting like mad and this is part of it.
He is able to handle the paperbacks with care now, so I moved them down for easier access.

More on nesting madness and right brain materials soon!

Where did you buy the mini knobbed cyclinder? I am into montessori learning with isabel and intend to make some purchase of montessori sensorial materials. I have been sourcing around but not many suppliers selling mont materials. I found one in singapore that sells the family package,i.e mini size. However, i couldt find any that sell the mini size materials in malaysia.

Hi Darren Mommy, sorry for the late reply. There is a store selling the mini set in Bayu Tinggi, Klang. If you buy at the store, there is a better discount and you can examine the quality of the product as they keep a sample set. I have not personally used the mini set bcoz I am eyeing the original sized ones...here is their link:

Hi Jessica,

Your blog is a true gem. Could you share on whereabouts do you source for materials when trying to come up with activities to do with little tiger? Am finding it really hard to find for items as simple as a small plastic tweezers, dot paints, pipe cleaners, pocket charts (which I found the solution from your earlier entry, thanks!). I've a soon-to-be 2 year old girl and trying to come up with more fun yet educational activities.

Sorry forgot to mention that I am also from Malaysia. :)

Sorry for the late reply.
My small plastic tweezers are FOC from Taiwan when I bought some gummy candies. I think they have some nice wooden ones in IKEA but I have yet to find them.

The dot paints were from Think Toys but they are no longer in operation. So sad. A reader informed me that they have some in Tropicana Mall, next to Toy R Us but I have not check it out.

Popular bookstore are selling pipe cleaners, poms poms nowadays but still I think Daiso is the best place to buy these little knick knacks. :) Have fun!

Thanks so much Jessica! Will definitely try out the shop next to Toys R Us, Tropicana Mall for the dot paints. If I do find them, will let you know. :)

Once again thank you for your kind sharing!

Hi Jessica,
Sorry for this but yes, it took me this long to make a trip to Tropicana mall. Yes, found it! Not exactly the dot paints but these come in a smaller packaging (and not so bottle-shaped). Thanks again!
